1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern access to the Learn with Isaac website, student portal, instructor portal, online assessments, course materials, payment services, notifications, and related training services.

By creating an account, submitting an application, enrolling for a course, making a payment, using the portal, or taking an online assessment, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. If you use the platform on behalf of a learner below the age of 18, you confirm that you are the learner's parent, guardian, or authorised representative.

2. Applicable Law

Learn with Isaac operates from Uganda. These terms are guided by the laws of Uganda, including applicable education, contract, consumer protection, electronic transactions, cyber security, and data protection requirements.

Our handling of personal data is intended to align with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 and the Data Protection and Privacy Regulations, 2021, including principles of lawful processing, transparency, security safeguards, data subject participation, and retention only for as long as necessary.

3. Accounts and Access

• You must provide accurate registration, application, payment, and contact information.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential.
• You must not share your account with another person or allow another person to attend, submit work, or take assessments using your account.
• We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably suspect account misuse, fraud, impersonation, academic dishonesty, unpaid balances, security risk, or breach of these terms.

4. Applications, Enrolment, and Course Access

Submitting an application does not guarantee admission, enrolment, scholarship, employment, internship, certification, or course placement. We may accept, reject, request more information, or place an application under review.

Course access may depend on eligibility, available space, payment status, timetable, programme requirements, and administrative approval. We may update course content, schedules, instructors, delivery method, or class links where necessary, while making reasonable efforts to notify affected learners.

5. Fees, Payments, and Refunds

• Course fees are shown or communicated before or during enrolment.
• Payments may be processed through approved payment providers such as mobile money, card, bank, or gateway services.
• Access to paid course materials or live classes may be restricted until payment is confirmed.
• Gateway confirmations, transaction references, manual receipts, and payment status updates are used to reconcile learner accounts.
• Refunds are reviewed case by case, considering course start date, access already granted, materials consumed, attendance, and payment provider charges.

6. Online Assessments and Academic Integrity

Online assessments may include timed questions, autosave, automatic submission, restricted navigation, fullscreen monitoring, clipboard restrictions, activity flags, and identity checks such as a selfie before the test starts.

By starting a strict online assessment, you consent to the assessment controls shown before the test begins. You must not cheat, impersonate another learner, use unauthorised help, copy answers, share assessment content, attempt to bypass monitoring controls, or interfere with the assessment system.

Where suspicious activity is detected, Learn with Isaac may review the attempt, reduce marks, require a retake, withhold results, invalidate the submission, suspend access, or take other reasonable academic action.

7. Learner and Instructor Conduct

• Treat students, instructors, staff, partners, and visitors with respect.
• Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, abuse, defame, or intimidate anyone.
• Do not upload malware, illegal content, offensive content, or content that infringes another person's rights.
• Do not disrupt classes, chats, assessments, payment systems, or platform operations.
• Do not use the platform for spam, fraud, unauthorised advertising, or unlawful activity.

8. Course Materials and Intellectual Property

Course videos, recordings, notes, assignments, quizzes, software examples, designs, logos, text, images, and other learning resources belong to Learn with Isaac or their respective rights holders. Unless we give written permission, you may use course materials only for your personal learning inside the programme.

You must not copy, resell, publish, upload, broadcast, distribute, or share course materials, class links, recordings, assessment questions, answers, or portal content outside the authorised learning environment.

9. Certificates and Results

Certificates, transcripts, badges, and results may be issued where a learner satisfies the applicable course requirements, including attendance, assessment, project, payment, and conduct requirements. Unless expressly stated, Learn with Isaac certificates confirm programme participation or completion and are not government-accredited qualifications.

10. Notifications and Communication

We may contact you by email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, in-app notification, browser push notification, or other channels you provide. Important service messages may include application updates, payment status, class reminders, assessment deadlines, results, security notices, and policy updates.

You can manage optional notification preferences in your account where available. Some administrative, legal, security, payment, and course-critical messages may still be sent where necessary to provide the service or comply with obligations.

11. Privacy and Data Retention

Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy and Data Retention & Deletion Policy. These policies explain what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you may request access, correction, or deletion subject to lawful exceptions.

12. Availability and Service Changes

We aim to keep the platform available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Access may be affected by maintenance, internet failure, browser issues, payment provider downtime, hosting issues, force majeure, or events outside our control.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Ugandan law, Learn with Isaac is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms when our services, laws, technology, or operational requirements change. Updated terms will be published on this page with a new date. Continued use of the platform after publication means you accept the updated terms.
